🙏 Faith, Family & Community First

Long before politics, he was actively serving his family and community — helping in farms, attending church, and organizing youth efforts. His Christian faith continues to guide his actions and decisions.

🛠️ Service Before Title

His leadership journey began through volunteering, not campaigning — organizing events, advocating for education, and working with the youth long before any political position.

📘 My Detailed Journey to Success (Motivational and Inspiring journey)

"Reflecting back, I can only say — Mungu ni mwema."

🛤️ Early Life & School Struggles

I began my schooling at Kaptarkok Primary School. Despite the humble environment, I consistently topped my class. After KCPE, I was admitted to Tambach High School. But school fees were a major challenge — my parents raised Ksh 8,500 through a local harambee. Only Ksh 6,000 was paid on admission. That remained the only fee ever paid for me at Tambach.

Due to fees, I dropped out in Form 3. Those who knew me then will recall I was always top 3 out of 206 students.

🚶‍♂️ Walking 10KM to Chase a Dream

I transferred to Kiptulos Day School — walking 10KM daily. My fee was 5 litres of milk my father delivered daily. I studied hard and scored a B Plain (66 points) in KCSE — just 1 point shy of university entry.

I wanted to repeat. I taught tuition at Kaptarkok, saved Ksh 4,000, and approached Kitany Secondary to repeat Form 4. The principal declined because I couldn’t pay 1st term fees. Attempts by relatives to help fell through. Eventually, I missed registration and continued teaching for free, earning Ksh 1,000 from the headteacher monthly.

🎓 The Utalii College Breakthrough

In 2006, I applied to Kenya Utalii College. I had saved Ksh 5,000, used it for transport and shopping. On admission day, I claimed my dad’s bank account had issues (he never had one). They gave me till Monday.

I rushed to Parliament to seek help from Hon. Nicholas Biwott. After camping at the gate for weeks, he finally gave me Ksh 35,000 for fees. I was admitted late and nearly lost my place — but a kind admissions officer gave me a chance. I studied hard, graduated top of my class, and completed an additional IATA international diploma.

💼 Starting Small in Nairobi

I worked in small companies earning Ksh 5,000, later Ksh 25,000. I dreamed of going abroad. I was accepted at Tampere University in Finland, but the embassy required Ksh 700,000. Through a harambee, we raised only 60K. The rest — a story for another day.

Visa approved. Travel set. Then came a life-changing call — an interview at Kenya Airways. I passed. Got the job. Life turned around. I chose to stay, and later visited Finland just to thank Naomi, who had helped me apply.
